I want to cry...
I was tooling along on my bike returning $40 headphones, when a motorbike pulls up next to me and takes my bag. I chase them. They win. I immediately go and put a hold on my local bank card. Then I went and spoke with Payap officials. I then filed a police report. I also put a hold on my bankcard at home. Anyway this is what they stole; $25, Payap ID, iPod- yes the last source of my music, my headphones, cellphone, bankcards, gym card, all, literally all of my school work- notes, handouts ect.. and a few other random things. And my nice bag that I bought here. Of course they already took the sim card out of my phone, so we cannot track them down. I think I am cursed.

Ohhhh, Kali. That's heartbreaking. I'm happy you weren't hurt, though. Is this kind of mugging common among foreign visitors? Do you have relatively easy access to the internet yet? I could post some music from our 'puter on a file sharing site that you could then put on to your computer. Is that something that's easy for you to do, or not? Of course, sharing music that way is about as legal as the plagerizing you were frowning at in your previous post....
....but that's the way the cookie crumbles. Like Facebook's Scrabulous bringing people to the board game Scrabble, music we have purchased and are sharing with you electronically will very likely spur you to buy other recordings by those artists, right? That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!
Haha, stealing music doesnt bother me for some reason. And I agree with you. I dont think posting music would work well here, the internet is really slow. Thanks for offering though. No one now has similar taste in music, but in two weeks Americans will be coming, so someone is bound to like some of the stuff I do.
boy oh boy that stinks!!! : (
Kali - CRY, you are entitled after such a devastating experience! But also know that you are learning some adult lessons - knowing what you had, canceling things, police reports, etc. Maybe this is the saving grace that the academics are not so challenging is the rest of life proves to be so.
But sweetheart, take note, things are not always like this. You will find a way to replace what you must have and you will also learn what that really is.
Just wish I could give you a big hug. Take care,
Marna
Hi Kali!
I can't believe that happened! What a bummer. I know you're resourceful and probably got things straightened out quickly!
I'm in California... lots of adventures. Which email do you check? I owe you a big update.
I hope you're alright and that things are going well!
I'll write to you soon!
love!
Kali,
Sorry to hear about what happened. I am confident you will pull it all together.
Have been missing you and perhaps have figured out how to comment here at your blog site.
If this goes through, you will hear from us more often.
Love,
Jean & John
It worked! Feel free to email me too.
